If you haven't already guessed by all my tweets, instagrams and facebook updates, I've been in Edinburgh for the week with the husband, it was our 1 year wedding anniversary so we hoped on a train first thing Friday morning headed for Edinburgh.  We made a last minute booking on for The Albany Hotel on Albany Street and we also managed to bag the honeymoon suite which was huge, it also had a massive bathroom and a huge roll top bath.  This was such a highlight, I even managed to squeeze in some lush bath bomb shopping and make use of it, delighted!

It was such a busy weekend, we did loads and I have a whole week of posts coming up, I even convinced the husband to be my personal OOTD photographer for the weekend! Of course it wouldn't be a weekend away without a spot of shopping, and in true form I had to visit Primark, its now a standing joke that I'm a Primark tourist, I have to agree, but there are always items in other stores that you can't find in Aberdeen so it would be rude not too!

The journey home was a bit of a nightmare as Scotrail decided to drop two carriages, one of which we had booked seats on. This meant that everyone in carriages D & E lost their seat reservations, resulting in a mass scramble for seats, lots of people moaning and a whole load of stress.  To make things worse, the carriages weren't even labelled properly, so carriage D turned into carriage A, it was beyond a joke, I don't understand how Scotrail think they can get away with taking peoples money and conducting such a bad service.  I will definitely be putting in a complaint, it wouldn't have been so bad but the same thing happened to us on the way down.

All in all it was a fantastic weekend, I love spending time with my husband and exploring new cities.

I hope you've all had a lovely weekend, I noticed I have a few more GFC's and Bloglovin followers :) YAY, I love seeing a new follower notification, it makes it all worth while!  Don't forget to follow me on Facebook and Instagram for daily snippets too.  I'm in my jammies, all cosy, and I'm watching X Factor, perfect end to a perfect weekend!
