2016's MOST READ POSTS

Happy New Year!  We've made it through another year and like all the rest it has past in a flash, I quite enjoy the start of a new year, it's a time for wiping the slate clean, setting some fresh goals, getting organised (not forgetting the diet) but best of all it's a time of reflection.  I have never done anything like this before but whilst working on this post I have to questions why I've never done this as it's been pretty insightful and will definitely help with my content for 2017.

Here are my top 5 most read post in 2016!

As I said, the start of the year brings diets and 2016 was no different.  I signed up for Joe Wick's (leanin15) 90 Day SSS Plan, I managed a month before it fell be the wayside.  This plan (despite my commitment to it) really does work and in that month I lost a considerable amount of weight and inches and was feeling great. On the downside you need a lot of time for this plan to work, there is lots of food prep required and unfortunately it just wasn't a fit for my life at the time.  It's no excuse as many working mums have signed up and completed this so don't let that put you off if it's something you want to do.

There was a post doing the rounds on Facebook, it struck a chord with me and so I decided to create my own reply.  It's funny how you think having a baby is hard work, yes it can be, but those tiny babies days are actually a lot easier than the toddler days that are yet to come.

I wrote this post as a formula feeding mummy.  Whilst I support breast feeding I kinda feel that us formula mummies get a bit of a raw deal too!  Just because we can't or choose not to breast feed doesn't mean we should get less support.

Motherhood is one hell of a journey and I have learnt such a lot in a small space of time.  I'm only 2.5 years in and I know I'll learn a lot more but here's what I've learnt so far.

5. DO I HAVE POSTNATAL DEPRESSION
I decided to open up about my own struggles with PND, not because I wanted sympathy but because I was that person that thought, that won't happen to me.  It's a difficult topic to write about and even though things are getting better and awareness is much higher than before it is still somewhat of a taboo!

As I mentioned above it was interesting to see which posts had the most views and if I am honest I was a little shocked at some of them, however it has reaffirmed to me that the posts I often worry about posting are the ones that people want to read, so for 2017 i'll be stepping out of my comfort zone a little bit more and doing a lot more of me!

  1. It sometimes comes as a surprise in what posts are the most popular, as when you write them you think only a few people might bother to read this one and then you see your views going up quite a bit. For me, my post on how to date Babycham glasses is my most popular one and still gets over 100 views a month even 2 years on, weird! Look forward to seeing some more posts out of your comfort zone :) xx
